Community Involvement

Spagnuolo and Company is committed to acting ethically, improving the quality of life of our employees, their families, the local community and society at large. We do this in a number of ways.

For our staff and their families, we try to be flexible with working arrangements to allow quality family time. We provide a healthy working environment. We recognize that working at our firm can be stressful but we try to minimize the stress for everyone as much as possible.

For the local community, we shared an extra $25,000 in 2016 to celebrate our 25th year in business.

We asked our past clients and referral partners to suggest a worthwhile charity to support based on the following criteria:

  1. The charity must be in support of children, and either for health, education, or sports;
  2. The charity must be regional in nature (for example, KidSport BC is fine, but not KidSport Burnaby).

The selected charities were Kids Sport BC, The Cinderella Project, The Looking Glass Foundation, Boys and Girls Clubs of BC, ArtStarts in School, Special Olympics BC, Cmolik Foundation (Kares), Athletic for Kids, Children’s Heart Network, Camp Kerry and Dreams Take Flight.

Our staff is also involved in a number of charities, including:

  • the SPCA
  • Basics for Babies
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • Children’s Miracle Network
  • VGH and UBC Hospital Foundation
  • missionary work in El Salvador
  • the Newton Advocacy Group
  • and countless others

Our latest initiative is a Casual Friday program whereby we sponsor less fortunate families during the holiday season with food and toys so that they can enjoy the holiday season.
